End of Session: UNIBEN shuts down Academic Activities July 11

The University of Benin, in Edo state will on Sunday July 11 formally shut down following the successful conclusion of the 2019/2020 Academic Session.

This was disclosed in a statement issued on Wednesday by the institution’s spokesperson, Dr. Benedicta Ehanire, in Benin City.

She quoted the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Lilian Salami as congratulating all staff and students on conclusion of the academic session.

“The Vice Chancellor calls to mind the disruption by the COVID-19 pandemic and other challenges which were surmounted by the help of God and the cooperation of all staff and students,” Ehanire said.

While wishing the students a restful holidays, the VC says she looks forward to welcoming old and new students back on campus at resumption of the 2020/2021academic session.

Meanwhile, all students are expected to vacate their halls of residence latest Sunday 11th July, 2021, following the conclusion of the Academic session.
