Katie Price’s fiancé Carl Woods looks glum on solo outing after she checks into rehab

Carl Woods looked glum as he was seen for the first time since his fiancée Katie Price checked into rehab centre The Priory.

The car salesman was spotted leaving a petrol station on Wednesday days after calling mum-of-five Katie a ‘rough diamond’ as he stood by her following her car crash and subsequent arrest.

With Katie now seeking treatment at a private facility centre, Carl was seen running errands alone.

He went low key for the outing in grey jogging bottoms, trainers and a black hoodie, looking downcast as he fiddled with his wallet while leaving the shop on the petrol station forecourt.

The former Love Island star barely lifted his head as he made his way back over to his car.

Carl chose to publicly support Katie, 43, after she was arrested following her horror crash on Tuesday, in which she’d flipped her BMW on its side down a country road near Partridge Green in West Sussex.

Katie told officers at the scene that she “should not be driving” as she confessed to taking drugs.

The mother-of-five was taken to hospital following the terrifying crash, and she appeared in court on Wednesday, where she pleaded guilty to drink-driving, driving without insurance and driving while disqualified.

The model and author has been told she may face prison following the crash near her home in Sussex.

During Wednesday’s court hearing, Chair of the bench Julie Hutton warned Katie, who will be sentenced in December, “We regularly send people to prison for driving whilst disqualified.”

Katie has been told she must undergo treatment at the Priory, be banned from driving until her sentencing, not commit any further offences, and report to the probation service.

“On that basis, Ms Price, you are free to go and good luck at the Priory,” Hutton told her.

Katie’s boyfriend Carl voiced his support to her in an emotional post on his Instagram Stories, just hours after she was arrested.

Calling her a “rough diamond,” he acknowledged their turbulent relationship, as he claimed Katie “just needs that extra help” to regain her shine.

“Relationships are tested, people test each other – but when you love someone like I love Katie, you enjoy the highs and good times together.,” he wrote, adding that accepted all of Katie’s “imperfections”.

“The sunlight will shine through her once again and the sparkles that she brings to everyone will return,” Carl added.

Katie’s defence solicitor Joe Harrington said the star was going through “a really difficult period”, and had been drinking because “she was lonely”.

“She has had a lot of personal problems recently. Currently she is in the process of bankruptcy proceedings, so her house may be repossessed,” he explained.
