Corrie’s Sally Dynevor fuels Dancing on Ice rumours as actress spotted training at rink

Sally Dynevor has fuelled rumours that she has signed up to appear on Dancing On Ice.

In exclusive pictures obtained by the Sunday Mirror, the Coronation Street star can be seen tentatively taking to the ice alongside skater Stephen Pickavance.

The pair can be seen using an ice hockey stick – which appears to be a tool to help Sally work on her balance as she skates -with Stephen – who has been a coach on Dancing on Ice for over 10 series – giving the actress directions.

Sally kept warm in a padded blue jacket as she clung onto professional skater Stephen.

The former professional skater is a two time British Senior Men’s Champion and his credits include appearing at Torvill and Dean’s World Tour.

A source recently claimed that Sally had finally signed up to the ice skating show.

“ITV have been keen to get Sally on the ice for a number of years and she has tried out in the past, but they haven’t been able to make it work,” an insider told The Sun.

“She’s finally ready to do it now though and is already taking it very seriously and has been hitting the ice rink most Sundays.”

Bosses were reportedly keen to see Sally on the ice because of her long-standing soap role in Corrie, as well as her daughter Phoebe Dynevor’s starring role in hit Netflix show, Bridgerton.

It’s a good idea that Sally’s already in training as last year’s celebrities were plagued by injury during their time on the ice.

Denise Van Outen was left with a dislocated and fractured shoulder and had to bow out of the show, whilst Jason Donovan also had to exit over an injured back.

“I partially dislocated it, unfortunately after the rehearsal I spent 15 hours with my shoulder being dislocated because we didn’t really want to bother the NHS knowing that they’re so overstretched,” Denise revealed on Loose Women.

Jason was “completely gutted” to leave the show due to his “ongoing back issue”.

He wrote in a post on Facebook : “Guys I am devastated to announce that due to this ongoing back issue that occurred on Dancing On Ice about 10 days ago and at the advice of the medical team in the show that unfortunately I can’t continue in the competition and therefore have to withdraw.

“It’s a nightmare and I’m completely gutted.”
