GMB’s Charlotte Hawkins reunites with her six-year-old daughter after Covid isolation

Good Morning Britain’s Charlotte Hawkins has shared her delight at finally getting to hug her daughter after spending 10 days in Covid isolation.

The 46-year-old star was seen sitting in her garden’s wood shed in a floral dress and jean jacket while her delighted six-year-old daughter Ella Rose wrapped her arms around her.

Charlotte, clearly happy to finally be back with her family, was beaming as the photo was taken.

Sharing the post on Instagram, the TV presenter said: “So I finally get to hug this one after being in isolation for 10 days with covid… I missed it SO much!!

“I’m feeling extremely lucky I only had cold-like symptoms. Thankfully I kept testing even though I had none of the usual covid symptoms, so caught it early & none of my family got ill.”

Charlotte said that she will be back in action on her radio show for Classic FM today, as well as returning to the GMB set tomorrow.

“Can’t wait to be back!!! Sending love to all those isolating with covid right now,” she added.

The star had opted to keep quiet about her positive test result while she recovered at home.

Unfortunately, Charlotte’s return to Good Morning Britain also means back to her early morning start times – which she revealed to be the same time as her daughter last month.

Speaking to The Mirror at the TRIC awards, she said: “I have the same bedtime as my six-year-old! I try to be in bed by nine,” Charlotte added.

“That’s why she looks so good!” her co-star Ben Shepherd joked.

Charlotte has stepped up her position on Good Morning Britain over recent months after the premature exit of Piers Morgan.

After he walked off the show and later quit over a row about Meghan Markle, he is yet to be replaced.

Instead, a rolling cast of co-hosts has come in to fill his place alongside the main stars, including Susanna Reid, Charlotte, Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard.

Guest hosts have included Alistair Campbell, Richard Madeley, Richard Bacon and Bill Turnbull.
