Stacey Solomon ploughs on with Pickle Cottage DIY despite being days from giving birth
Stacey Solomon is still hard at work transforming her home, despite being days away from giving birth.
The Loose Women star, 32, took to her Instagram account to share an update with her fans about the DIY she’s been doing in her mansion Pickle Cottage.
In her posts, she admitted she can’t “sit still” despite being heavily pregnant with her fourth child.
Stacey was busy up-cycling a shelving unit from IKEA as she rushes to get her home done up in time for welcoming her baby girl.
“I can’t sit still anymore. So I’m going to up-cycle an old unit,” she told her followers.
“These are the door fronts and these are something I bought for a small business so I’m going to try and jazz them up and make a cabinet for the hallway.”
Stacey is expecting her second child with her partner Joe Swash.
The couple already shared a two-year-old son Rex, while Stacey is mum to Zachary, 13, and nine-year-old Leighton from previous relationships.
Meanwhile, Joe is dad to son Harry, 14, with an ex.
Joe recently said that Stacey is due to give birth “any minute”.
He visited Tulley’s spooky Shocktober Fest on Friday and said he’d have to leave the event if the call came saying Stacey is in labour.
The former EastEnders star told The Sun : “The kids wanted to come so much I didn’t want to let them down.”
“The baby’s coming any minute, he added before joking, “If we make a quick exit you’ll know why. It’ll be a hobble exit.”
Telling how they are ready to meet their little girl, Joe added: “We’re so excited we can’t wait. We’ve got everything ready, all that’s missing is the baby.”
It comes after Stacey said she didn’t want to give birth just yet as she probably won’t have any more children.
She told her Instagram followers: “I was just laying here thinking. And firstly, I was thinking that I can’t believe I’m still pregnant.
“I thought I would have had her by now. But actually, this is the first time I’ve been pregnant and I haven’t wished for the end of my pregnancy.”
She added: “I know that I won’t be doing it again, so I’m trying to enjoy every second of these last few weeks.
“I was also thinking that I actually have to get her here now – into the world.
“I’ve got to push her out. I’ve been in denial about it for the last nine months, I think. It’s number four, so hopefully I’ll just sneeze her out.
“But to be honest, I know it’s going to be horrendous. I know it’s not that bad for everyone, but I really don’t love labour. I think it really bloody hurts.”
